Are the files still within the incomplete folder? My mistake about the partial folder. I was confusing with another program.
Re-select the same download location as you had before. That 'might' refresh them.

Sighs, LW 5 still has a lot of limitations. Cannot manually resume old downloads if they do not load with the program.

Perhaps it was a poor piece of advice to try LW 5.2 ... if anything I could have suggested downgrading to LW 4.

Yes, the files are still in the incomplete folder.
Reselecting the 'saved' or 'incomplete' folders has no effect at all.

What next? Would there definitely be a way, in LW4, to get back my incompletes AND manually resume my 97% file?

Should be. Initially it will most likely say cannot recontinue downloads. Do not sweat. After that happens, go to Library window, select incomplete folder, select all the files, press the Resume button. This will force the files back into the download window. They will all say zero % until they actually start downloading upon which time they will show the previous download %. See Past Releases section: Get LimeWire for Your Platform - Lime Wire

I'm now using 4.18.8. No files are listed in the 'incomplete' folder at all.

The files 'must' still be in the incomplete folder. Unless LW 4.18 is pointing to a different download folder. The incomplete folder simply reflects what's in that folder on the hard disk drive. Go to Tools -> Options -> Saving, choose the location where you saved them before. Or check If you updated LimeWire & cannot find your Downloads

Default 99% downloaded but no further

1. I am using LW Pro version 4.18.
2. When I right-click on the download as it resides in the queue I do NOT get the option bitizi lookup!

hmmm....yeah, after I said that I realized that the option to look up might only be in the search results....

search again for the same file, then when there is a result that matches your file is found right click on the result and do the bitzi lookup

in the future always do a bitzi lookup for such types of files...

if there is no result in bitzi then its probably a spoof file...unless its an mp3....most all real video files are listed @ bitzi....

Have tried this, but they still don't show up in the library.
Somehow, I think upgrading to 5.2 beta has 'disconnected' the files from Limewire

Have re-installed 5.1.3 as 4.18 did nothing to recover my 'missing incompletes'.

Anyone have any idea how I can get Limewire to see my incomplete files, so I can resume my downloads?
Have triple checked and the address for my 'saved' files is defintely correct.

So with LW 4.18 you used the Resume function in the library window? That's what you were supposed to do. Go to Library, click on incomplete folder, select all the incomplete files & press the Resume button. I don't see you having tried that. You said no incomplete files show up at all. I doubt that because the incomplete folder reflects what files are in that folder, 'if' you are downloading to the same download folder of course so LW is looking at the appropriate incomplete folder location where the incomplete files actually reside.

At present LW 5 has no technique of recognising/resuming incomplete files if they do not show up as unfinished downloads.
