Incomplete Searches? Currently, I'm running LW 5.1.2 on WinXP. I've been having this problem for a while now...but keeps getting worse. Not only am I not finding any sources for stalled downloads, I can't find any new downloads. When I try to search, LW comes up with nothing...not even files already in my library! And now if I actually find something, when I click on it to download, it says I already have it in my library...but it's not in my library because it's one of my stalled downloads! And it still stays stalled even after being found in a new search! AAGH! I'm starting to feel like Charlie Brown after Lucy gets him to try kicking the football...can't believe I keep trying the same thing and expecting different results! LOL Any ideas? Thanks! |
If it says it's already in your library .. icon, then chances are it was spam. Some spam tricks LW into thinking the file was already downloaded; shows that icon. Virus thread: Typical virus spam file sizes - Make a note of them (click on blue link to see) The reason for your search problems seems not totally uncommon. It's happened to me on & off. It usually lasts for a few days up to a week. It might be due to ultrapeers you are connected to, but not necessarily that reason, that the ultrapeer(s) is not responding with sending search information off or returning it. |
