Ok im not fully sure if this belongs here or not since im new to this site and couldnt find the right fourm. But heres my problem

Before a couple of days ago i had no problem with limewire ( 4.18.8..i dont like the 5.0 versions)..But I was tweaking with the colors for my menus on my computer ( not dealing with limewire ) afterwards i went to limewire and for some reason when i click on any type of file i want to download ( i tried many so it cant be the file type) and it will not move down to the download status to so me it is downloading...i checked my firewall ( avast) which never fought with it before and it was all clear same with my spybot and super antivirus ( checking all possiblities)

The connection is perfect to and i even tried unistalling and restailling 5.0 or even a older version but of course the problem did not go away that easily. i even checked where my downloads went and its all set up the right way..i do not know what else could be stopping it from making the downloads to go the download menu ( and no its not going down and saying need more source or stuff like that..its not even there to show stuff like that)

If anyone knows how to solve this porblem plz respond and i glady hear ya out..and agian if this is in the wrong fourm im sorry

thxs i read though the forum that link provided but nobody seem to have the problem im having...i did not have any trouble with the whole license for Limewire and have read through the licenses that Limewire provided to read ( very boring lol) but for some reason still my limewire refuses to let me download No msg shows up just when i search and go to link or anything to bring it down below to download it does not go...nothing shows up in the download menu nor in the incomplete file limewire provides...i have uninstalled a few times now and reinstalled better versions or even older but nothing...limewire just dont like me

Tools -> Options -> Downloads, make sure at least 1 or higher is in the Maximum download slots box.
Tools -> Options -> Saving, make sure Days to keep incomplete files is set to a large number such as 999 or 9999, etc.

If these setting are already ok, perhaps you might need to replace your LW preferences folder; see http://www.gnutellaforums.com/window...tml#post183932. Next time you open LW, it will create a fresh preferences folder.
