Having trouble with lw picking windows data file for downloads
 

Hello, for some reason, my limewire browser is kinda wack, with either format. But that is not the my main problem. My problem is that when I select a download, it downloads as a windows data file. It seems to have automatically defaulted to that for all the different file types. I am racking my brain as to how I can fix this. Please can anyone help! Thank you!

hmm sounds like a system issue. Try resetting your default programs for each type of file. Example: WMP or iTunes for each audio type file, VLC or WMP, etc. for each video type, etc.

If using VISTA, right-click the short-cut to LW & choose to run as administrator. If still problems, try changing download location. That is often a solution to Vista problems of downloading, however not ignoring what I suggested above. :)
