Default File downloading shows my ip as the source

I'm using LW 5.
I was dl'ing a movie, btw I found it via Bitzi's magnet application link. The file didn't start that day on LW. So the next day when I started up LW, it began dl'ing but it said the progress on it was 0 MB of 0 MB (yes 0..not the actual file size number) completed. So I right clicked and viewed file info and it said I was downloading it from my router's ip address. Is this normal? Also, the progress bar wasn't showing any increase in the coloring while I was dl'ing it. I did manage to finish dl'ing it but the whole situation made me curious. Is it possible someone else connected to my router and had the file or maybe they had the same type of router and it showed the same common ip address?

Are you using a wifi or radio sending router? I have heard of neighbors using another's internet service because that person's router was not set up properly with security to prevent that happening.

It is possible to find ones own files in a search or browse host on rare occasions. Happened to me recently. However, it was my external ip address, not my network or router address.

AFAIK & might be wrong, but those whose ip addresses are same as a routers are those whose setups are not set correctly.

I am using a wireless linksys router. But I have a password setup for anyone trying to connect to it. It's strange, it's a file I found on Bitzi and I opened the magnet link on that site, which opened it in LW. And when I went to see who I was downloading it from, the ip address made it appear like I was dl'ing from myself. I don't recall ever having that file in the past..like deleting it but having it stored on my hard drive and never overwritten. So Idk. Thanks for your help

Other than the free files bitzi previously hosted there, I've never successfully downloaded using any of the magnet links hosted at their site. Other members here have.

Perhaps the anomaly was related to the magnet link & you choosing to download it .. it looked at your address. I have no idea actually.
