I'm not up on what LW requires for memory these days, but that 512K of ram is certainly sparse for any modern computer... try out the following tool and see if you find any errors: Memtest86.com - Memory Diagnostic

unfortunately I bet this user's machine will not have a BIOS that allows tweaking of the video aperature setting, which would probably be best set @ 64mb... still, the crash as described indicates most likely a driver conflict, as bad RAM would most likely cause crashes with the general use of the machine... download the following utility to find more about your machine which should help in the search for exact drivers for your hardware: |MG| EVEREST Free Edition 2.20 Download its a great utility that enables you to keep track of various things going on with your machine
