 topguide question: can't download to this file location? (Using LW 5.2.13 -> external drive) Hi to you all. I'm new to the forum. Just downloaded newer version 5.2.13 on my Windows XP laptop. I'm not very computer savvy. The older version worked for me. When I try to download songs- I get instead now- error message- "Sorry. You can't download files to this location." What happened? I want to download to an external drive. I tried to set it up in OPTIONS- but while it worked before with the prior version- its not working now here. | hmm, that's they kind of error a vista or osx user might get. LW has never been particularly good at downloading directly to external drives. What kind of external drive is it? Something you could try is, choose a location on your computer's hard drive or user account. Then with each download, right-click it & choose Change File Location, and direct it to the external drive.  . Last edited by Lord of the Rings; August 31st, 2009 at 12:43 PM. |
