On Windows XP SP2 using cable and Limewire 5.2.
Ever since I have switched to 5.2 I have the following problem: after it has finished downloading a movie it starts redownloading it over again 6 more times before I got back and noticed it. That wastes a lot of my maximum download allowance from my ISP.

Is there a fix for this.

I haven't seen this (I don't use LW to download movies) but maybe someone else has. If you could give a bit more info then it might help people to diagnose your problem

Are the files in question torrents or movies that you've downloaded from the Gnutella network?

Has this happened with every movie that you've downloaded since updating to 5.2?

What about other file types (music, image, document etc)? Does the same thing happen?

If files are being downloaded from the Gnutella network, have you checked the files with Bitzi before download? How to use Bitzi
If they're torrent files, have you checked the comments about the file (the torrent site where you find the file will usually have the option to view comments about the file) before download?

Which 5.2 version are you using & has the same thing happened with more than one 5.2 version?

When you say that the movie "starts redownloading it over again 6 more times" does that mean that you have 6 simultaneous downloads of the file showing in the download pane at once?

Have you scanned your computer for viruses & malware recently, with good AV/antimalware programs? Make sure that all programs' definitions are updated before scanning!
