![]() I got this problem just yesterday. I was downloading the game ***** and everything was going smooth until it hit 96% and the download speed stopped at 0kbs. I checked the internet everywhere for an answer but nothing seems to help. Additional Info: I'm using Limewire Pro version 4.13.0 Im not exactly sure how to update it. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. __________________________________________________ Edited to comply with the House Rules. ![]() Are you downloading the file from the gnutella network, or is it a torrent? 4.13 was the first LW version with BitTorrent support... LW isn't a good torrent client now & it was even worse in the early days ![]() If you're downloading a torrent, did you check the comments about the file before choosing to download the torrent? Depending on how many seeds (people who are uploading 100% of the file) are around, you might have to wait a while to get the last pieces. If it's a Gnutella file, try a new search for the file name - see whether that gets things going again. Or right click on the file name in the download pane > search > search for keywords. See if that helps - if a new search finds the file then maybe it will resume. Did you check the file with Bitzi before download (just to make sure that it's not a known bad file)? How to use Bitzi Quote:
So you can either choose to update to the latest basic version 5.2.13 (but before you do, please read this: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/downlo...downloads.html ), update to a newer basic version (as shown in the link above), buy Pro again or keep your current Pro version. If you do decide to update or buy Pro again, keep in mind the resuming of incompletes as shown in the link above ![]() And if buying Pro, remember to buy only from the official site: Official Website & Free Download - Lime Wire Last edited by birdy; September 23rd, 2009 at 04:10 AM. ![]() Well there at at least 2 or more hosts (are they the same as seeders?) so I don't think that is the problem. There are 8 hosts im downloading from most of the time. It isn't a virus or anything of the sort either. It isn't a Gnutella file and if I upgrade to a newer Limewire will it help anyway? Also the link you sent doesn't work. (The resuming downloads one) Thanks for the reply though. I'm eager to get it finished but without starting all over again. |

![]() Thanks for the fix. No it's a torrent file and there were only 3 comments from the uploader: Quote:
edited to conform with the rulez you seem to love breaking...you are warned So there are no problems but no thanks either. I tried downloading the torrent again but it just says 'you are already downloading this file'. I know LW isn't a good torrent downloader but it was the only thing I had at the time and I didn't feel like getting anything else just for 1 file. Are there any other options at all? I saw a few suggestions about ports though I have no idea how they work. Edit: I tried following the guide but I must of made a mistake. I upgraded to the newest Limewire Pro but I lost that file. I truly screwed myself over this time. Thank you very much Birdy for trying to help ![]() Last edited by Peerless; September 23rd, 2009 at 09:03 AM. |
