Default Downloads stop... with torrents using LW

Hello, My downloading of CD albums is giving me problems. The download goes along really well, but then stops. It still shows "from 2(or so) P2P Users", but nothing happens.

Hope someone can help me.

Thanks

Try pausing the download, then restarting. Also try re-searching the original file to get more hosts, then using the Get More Results option.

Pause/restart hasn't helped.

Album downloads are torrents so can't re-search them.

Helps to specify if they are torrents first because they are obviously very different. If you are sharing back plenty then the torrents should do ok. Not really much else can be done with torrents. I'd recommend uTorrent or Vuse instead for torrents however. They are specific torrent only programs. Whereas LW is only a part time torrent program so to speak, missing tools & abilities most torrent programs include.

Generally the best thing to do with torrents is have patience.
Unfortunately LW does not show how much of the file the other sharers have. So .. the two hosts may in fact have the same amount as you or even less & perhaps like you they are awaiting for someone to come online with a larger % or full content of the file or parts of the file they & you don't have. This is not an uncommon scenario with public torrents, especially older ones.

There's always the chance one/both of the hosts has banned your host but that's only a small possibility.

With Vuse (Azureus), I can check how much of the file each of the other hosts have, which parts of the file they have & I don't & vice versa. I can also prioritize particular parts of the file. These things are not possible with LW.

(I retitled the thread to show the discussion is about torrents.)
