Stuck at "connecting to P2P users"

Windows Vista, Limewire 5.5.6. Whenever I click on a file to download the number of users it's connecting to fluctuates, but the file never actually starts downloading. I don't know what to do.

EDIT: Also, after this happens, the download eventually stalls.
