with the new version i cant get any song to open in itunes

i downloaded the new version of limewire last week and ever since that point i have not been able to get any of the new songs im downloading to open in itunes. i can listen to them on limewire but that doesnt help me get it on my ipod =). is there something im missing? ive never had this problem when i had the older version
