I just downloaded Limewire Pro 5.5.8 and it will not download anything? It says it has a turbo charged connection but it still wont. I also live in a dorm room and I think that might be the problem, so is there anyway you can bypass this or something?

Nowadays dorm internet often has its bandwidth shaped for p2p programs. Might be specific programs or the protocol. You could arguably try a proxy connection & see if that helps in any way. Proxies are reliable though.

I have my own internet and mine has stopped as well. Mine is 5.2.13. it says its running but at the end it cannot find anything. Has the system been shut down?

I am connecting fine using LimeWire 5, Phex, FrostWire, BearShare, Gnucleus, or Morpheus.
Perhaps you might like to look at the LimeWire Pirate Edition. It also works well.
