downloading problems

I'm a new Limewire user and am having problems downloading. More specifically, nothing I try to download comes through. it queries, connects, waits for busy, all of them, but it never goes the next step. Is there something I'm missing?

thanks

downloading problems (t-online?)

I've got the same problem, the uploads are working but I cannot start any downloads. If I look at the Statistics there are:

17900 total messages
10000 local searches
4058 routing errors
4402 dropped messages

I've got 4 uploads but 0 downloads

some weeks ago evrything was working fine, I didn't change anything

My system:
Athlon 900 Mhz
256 Mb DDR RAM
Windows 2000 Server SP 2

Internet connection:
T-Online T-DSL flat
direct connection (no dialing Software)
no proxy
no firewall
Servertype: PPP
Authentification: PAP
TCP/IP

No, T-Online works well. I guess the files you tried to download simply weren't available at the moment.

The gnutella network doesn't seem to be in a very good shape at the moment. If you're trying to download movies, forget it, - mp3s usually work, however.

downloading problems

At the moment I'm waiting about 1 hour for 15 downloads. all songs are mainstream stuff with 5 star reasults. all i get is "waiting..., requry sent..., connecting..." sometimes "connected to x.x.x.x" with 0 kb, but it interrupts after 1 secund and restarts waiting....

at the same time there are uploads with 10 kb and above

I tried it so many times.... I think just one file should be downloadable, some weeks ago I could download 6 files at the same time whith real good connection Speeds. I'm just downloading mp3-Songs with limewire. I use e-donkey do download movies

I guess it's just bad luck.

I am having the same problem. I just d/l it last night and nothing. I paid for it so I am kinda . Funny part is that it works on my laptop(still seems to never resume once I have exited the program) My desktop does have a bunch of software that may affect it...Win2kPro, Black Ice Defender, Norton Anti-virus. My laptop(that kinda works with it) has has win98.

I'm getting searches and downloads occasionally : enough to keep me busy. However, download speeds are rediculously low, sometimes there's no movement from 0k/s for a couple of minutes, and when it does move, I'm pushing to get 1k/s . I just upgraded to 2.4.4, and previously I was running 2.2.2 with faster and more consistant download speeds a few months ago.

Is there issues with the new version or is it something else?

Running a G4 400, 356 MEG Ram, OS9.2.2.2, 56k Modem :(,

Same here. I went to 2.4.4 yesterday. What a mistake! I am on a Mac G4 933/1GBRAM running OS 9.2.2 on a T1 connection. Download speeds are non existent. When I find an MP3 I want offered by another T1 or T3, I am able to connect. Top speed I am getting is 8 k/sec. Within 5 minutes, that has dropped below 0.5k/sec! Prior to upgrading to the latest version, I would consistently download at 25-35k/sec. Others uploading from me are still getting 25k/sec. Something definitely changed with the new version. I can only hope I can locate an older version of Limewire to reinstall.
