 What happens when you try to download... do files begin to download & then get stuck or do files never even start to download? Do you see any error message? Is it only music files that are the problem - ie can you download other file types? Has anything in your setup changed since you last were able to download? Whereabouts are you connecting from (house, internet cafe, dorm etc)? Which version of LW & Jave are you using (Help > About LW will show you)?  |

| There are no error messages. Files do not even start to download...just goes from searching to connected and no further. I am connected from my home computer the same that I have been previously. I an somewhat of a computer novice so I am not sure how to check what java I am using. I do know that if I use the free limewire version it would work fine until today when it told me that I need to register to continue. However I paid for three years and am registered using limewire pro version??? I hope this helps and thank you for your time! |

| Sorry to say but it sounds like you've been scammed  Due to legal action, the company behind LW hasn't been allowed to distribute the software (either free or Pro) for over a year. The only people selling LW these days are scammers. Sounds a bit sus to me that your downloads have failed ever since you were prompted to register...maybe a hacked version of LW?? Depending on how long ago you paid, you may still be able to have your money refunded. Contact your bank/credit card company & see whether they can help you. If you like, there are other alternatives available. Just for example, LimeWire Pirate Edition or FrostWire 4 (very similar to LW). The links below have more info.
