No connections with my massive sharing I have 12,000+ Mp3s I'd really like to share with everyone. Yet, if I attempt to share them I get connected long enough for all of the files to register and then loose all connections. This is followed closely by my machine locking up if a download or two had started. I'm running XP with 384mb, the drive where all the file are is a dedicated ATA 7200 Maxtor. Am I just screwed here, can I not share this many files? |
You might be able to keep LimeWire from locking up everything by not having it take too much of the processor. It looks like XP has an area where you can tell how much processor time an application should get. Setting priority = low might do it. This thread starts talking about priorities: <http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...&threadid=7902> |
