Why Doesn't My Download Go To My Library

I'M NEW AT THIS AND CAN GET THE FILES TO DOWNLOAD, BUT NOTHING SHOWS UP IN MY LIBRARY. HOW DO I DO THIS?

Go to setup> downloads. make sure that there is a folder listed there. Then go to the sharing tab. Make sure that the download folder is listed, make sure that file tpye is listed and then hit rescan.
