I've just upgraded from a dial-up modem to a local-area connection and I've installed a firewall (Norton Personal Firewall) which I've never used before. Before this people were downloading stuff from me all the time but now everytime someone tries all they get is "RESET" and then they disappear from my screen. I can't figure out why! I've already checked the settings in the firewall and it's supposed to permit all in/out from bearshare. Does anybody know what's up with that? I don't mind sharing at all...

its the firewall...
you have to set up the firewall so it accepts incoming/outgoing
connections for the bearshare program...

there should be a function there allowing to change permissions, but since i dont use norton firewall i cant help you on this...

Okey I've been looking around in Norton and I think I've found something that match that description. Something about adding a rule for a specific program. I hope this will work. If it doesn't, I'll send another one these. Thank you!
