CAN SOMEONE HELP PLEASE

i'm having real trouble burning movies i've downloaded to a dvd can any one help me. when i tryed to send the downloaded file to my dvd burning program it worked but when it finished burning and i tryed to play it on my dvd player it would'nt load. now i know some dvd player's don't play burned dvd's but my dvd player is'nt one of them because before i got limewire i had master doging copy right laws and burning movies a rented.
i know it is'nt the file because when i try to play it on my computer it works fine.(the file not the dvd)
