I have this major problem wth Bearshare, which has been going on for awhile. The fourth LCD light stays constantly yellow. I found the answer in the Bearshare FAQs, but it didn't work. I have two firewall devices (Norton Internet Security and Windows Firewall), and even when I turn both of them off I cannot get the yellow light to change (Bearshare has been running very slow recently, downloading, files that used to take an hour now take 3-4 days, I think this is the very problem).
When I hold my mouse over the fourth light, it says "TCP firewalled (for 46m); UDP firewalled (for 44m); Connected Time: 20m". I will take any suggestions on fixing this problem, and overall, Bearshare has been a great program. I would hate to have to change programs due to this small error (which I highly doubt changing would fix). I would highly appreciate any help you can offer (by the way, I did re-install Bearshare once, the same problem still occurs.

Another thing, the status bar to the left of the LED lights doesnt move at all anymore, I supose due to the same problem.

i have the same problem i used to get great download speed i have a 2 meg connection but as of late download have been very poor infact unusable i have re installed and tried on another pc it is as though something or someone is leeching my connection . one other thing i have noticed is that the indicator of how many people are connected used to vary each time i ran bearshare (as you would expect ) but now it always shows exactly the same amount of users day or night . to my point it has nothing to do with your firewall as i have tried every possible connection and variation of settings all to no avail my assumption is something or someone has found a way to spoil bearshare (in a way i am gladf someone else has this problem as i thought someone had found a way to hack my router )
