![]() I'm down loading a file that looks like it can be play on windows media player. I went to preview it stated the following: "Windows Media Player encountered an unknown error. This can occur when another program or operating system component encounters a problem but does not communicate the nature of the problem to the Player." When I went back to the file it said a div x player was required to play. I downloaded it but when I go to preview it still opens up media player with error. Something simple? probably. Thanks |

![]() wmp does not do well at all in preview mode...it almost always breaks down when trying to play an incomplete...sounds like you have disabled BS's internal player in favor of wmp, which is fine, except for the fact wmp hates incomplete files... if you are really into previewing files, then enable BS's media player...do this by choosing setup>options and choose between 'whenever possible' or 'for video playback only'

![]() Preview of any video files never works for me with bearshare using either the theatre option or with vlc and bsplayer I never had trouble previewing limewire, shareaza or any p2p video files [mp3's preview o'k] In the temp file there is the video file with its extension and tiger bak and dat files which are 16 and 18kb Strangely the main file avi/mpg always shows the full file size even if only a few mbs have been downloaded - that won't play either. Any suggestions ? |
