Yeah. Vista is still not ready for prime time, and it may never get there as long as that beta test
of that super-draconian DRM forces drivers to run security checks on the hardware over 30
times a second. I advise everyone who asks not to even touch it until it has been on the
streets for a couple of years.
Like I said on Monday, try b25 if you upgraded to XP. No version of BearShare recognizes Vista.
At least with b25, you can switch it manually into ultrapeer mode in Setup/Service.
That's a huge performance boost for searching and making sure people find your shared files. ;] |
