Default Upload issue with BearShare hosts ... upload progress lossed time & time again

I've noticed several Bearshare hosts, bearshare lite & Bearshare Pro 5.2.1 who if they should drop connection with me for a few seconds will then show zero progress. It gives the impression I've wasted bandwidth uploading (very large files) to hosts who do not maintain the download % from me. Why are they showing zero progress in these scenarios? I get other LW hosts who start to download from me yet show their true progress, sometimes starting at over 50%.

Is there something lost in the old version BS to LW versions compatibility. Yes I was using LW 4.16 at the time.

I do wonder also if it is related to file size since BS 5 was probably around before much above 500 MB was able to be shared on gnutella.

BearShare never did report progress to the file sources. Their downloads don't lose any data.
The maximum file size broke the 4 gig barrier way back in the 4.x series.

Thank you The only thing that confuses me now is why BearShare users would be targetting a Mac OSX specific file for over 2 weeks (a reknown mac only file!).

Maybe they own a Mac too, and couldn't get much satisfaction with LimeWire on a Mac.
