Bearshare Version 8, Downloads Won't Finalize....Windows XP
 

Just got a new laptop, installed the latest version of Bearshare V8, and downloads will not finalize and complete. They get stuck on finalizing and freeze. What do I do? I have re-installed, and etc.?? What gives?

first....you can curse yourself out for installing such cr@p on a brand new system...

uninstall the externally controlled POS...do a system cleanup with a malware/spyware/etc leaner like adaware, spybot Search and Destroy, or SUPERAntiSpyware Free Edition...

where is this? mine is giving me the same issue. installed bearshare on a different pc and added to my computers and it won't finalize the songs....

only the expired beta version I linked to has the ability to force UP mode...and that's what's many times needed to get connected to the network for the first time...

finalizing of downloads is not related to that....

not sure what could be causing downloads to not complete, unless they are fake files from hosts that are intentionally preventing completion (of nothing)
