El texto aparece ilegible

Acabo de instalar LimeWire Pro 4.9.37 para Win XP Pro SP2 y en los sitios donde hay palabras con acentos aparecen caracteres extraños, tanto en los menús como en los distintos textos del programa. Por lo que he visto en el Forum, le sucede a todo el mundo, entonces, ¿se puede solucionar o tenemos que fastidiarnos con esta chapuza?. Por favor, que alguien me conteste algo aceptable. Gracias
