Question movies

I am new to downloading movies. I have been able to download the movie and watch it on the computer. However, I can not figure out how to transfer the file to my burning software so I can put the movie on a dvd. Any advise?

Also, which type of movie file is best?

I use Nero 6.0 Ultra Edition to burn my VCDs. I download the movie, open Nero, click on Burn To VCD, and it burns the movie to a CD-R. For me the file must be under 700 MB or it will not burn it. I know thats not the same as burning to a DVD.

I recommend the following video file formats:

.avi
.mpg
.mpeg

Only if your DVD Player supports VCDs or SVCDs. Now-a-days, almost all the DVD Players have the ability to play them. I burned [edit] to VCD; 2 discs. If you got anymore questions, just ask.
