running Phex (cvs from yesterday) with java ( latest version-sun java)..

creating a link on the desktop for starting phex is not a good idear for me :

in minutes , memory use of 127 mb
proc use : between 50 and 100 % ( 100% if i click on a tab) .
chaanges in settings are not working everytime iam an ultrapeer , i have unvink this option but it seems it does not work......

starting phex drom directory work just fine proccessor use is between 10 and 15%

What is your system doing differently when starting from a desktop link??

BTW: since you use SVN (CVS is very out of date) are you still seeing problems with download files not getting moved?

when i start phex with a link from the desktop and not with java -jar phex the following things will happen :

while running from the desktop link :

_ changing the setting "unvink" force to start as ultrapeer does work , restart phex with link you will start as ultrapeer , with lot of connected ultrapeers , while i expected 4 ultrapeers ..

within minutes cpu is 100% especcially when you hit or select 4 tabs within 20 seconds , phex will freeze .

- ive got one corrup download

when startting with java -jar command nothing of these things happens .

- my system is acting normal when i start phex from link a bit slower because of phex , further no problems ....

problem about the moving download , this happens with a windows versie from a friend of mine ......linux version is oke ..

I can't say, how it happens, but it sure looks strange...

Maybe some bugs in the Java-Implementation, or the .desktop files make some strange mumbo jumbo...

Where did you get the desktop link from/how did you create it?
