 JDK-6 has a reworde GTK-Theme which is much more correct but way slower, since it uses GTK to render the widgets, not just reading theme-files.  |

| In JDK-6, metal also looks much better, but we'll yet have to wait for the majority of users to switch to Java 6, before we can require that... But Phex does already run quite well in Java 6, even though there are some problems with sorting tables (I've switched to Java 6, and I don't want to switch back  ).

| In java-6 there haven't been any changes to metal compared to java-5. Furthermore just try to run it on java6, it will use all enhancements automatically. lg Clemens |

| It looks different from 1.5, iirc. And Java 6 file by file becomes GPL-licensed.
