Java 6 is very new and I don't think we go through this any time soon, also we just switch to Java 5 recently. | Why don't catch the exception throwed when the file duplication isn't finished, and stop all the transfers?
Java 5 doesn't have some some a facility for determining disk/partition size and availability, only java 6? Damn!
