FrostWire Software is slow.

Why is the Software so slow? Maybe Java? LimeWire was also slow. When i click Frostwire on the Task it's buliding up so damn slow. And also wenn i click any Button in FrostWire it takes more than a few seconds, till the new "screen" is build up.
Can i do something to fix this?

Don't use the resume/find sources function & this should help toward stopping the problem.

This is certainly not normal under your configuration, I use it on a computer 10 times slower...

Is it the first time, you use it? Are you sharing many big files (over 300MB) with it? In lower left, there is a number in a green circle, it does indicate how many files you are sharing, does that number increase with time (indicating you are hashing your files)?

You could always try reinstalling FW and deleting the FrostWire prefs in C:\Documents and Settings\*your user*\Application Data\

Application Data is hidden you you have to go in Explorer Options to show it.

I reinstalled it, and it is better, but still not so fast as normally other programms. But now, its so fast, that i can use it ;)

The green Circle did not increase - when, then it was yellow. I also dont share big Files, only Mp3's, i have ISDN.

yes, it seems as though the client was just hashing your shared files. now since the major hashing has seemed to finish, frostwire will run alot smoother.. next time you should let the client finish hashing the files before using it (you can notice it hashing when the bottom-left oval is yellow and the number is increasing. you can also know when its finished when it turns green and the number does not increase further untill you add files to your share/refresh or download a new file to your shares.)

I looked up the specks on you graphic card it is possible there is a graphics issue LimeWire/FrostWire has had some issues with the newer graphics cards the link below might help. While the symptoms are different the solution may work.
