Default FrostWire runs LimeWire instead

Hi,
I've emerged (Gentoo) LimeWire and then installed FrostWire. When i run FrostWire i see the splash and then i see LimeWire's splash and it eventually opens LimeWire.

Please help,
Snayit

Default Sorry, sometimes i'm not that clear

I've installed LimeWire on Linux (Gentoo) via emerge (it works that way, installing the most stable versions or so, updates every once in a while). Then i downloaded FrostWire from the site.

Then all went wrong...

Thanks for the response,
Snayit

Do you know that FrostWire is a clone of LimeWire??

Remember, LimeWire is a open source software. the FrostWire deveopler team took the source code of LimeWire and created their own limewire-clone software. that the reason why it look alike.

The same thing happens to me, running Win XP. If I have FrostWire (4.9.37 Beta) open and then open LimeWire (4.9.30 basic), it will only run as FrostWire. And vice-versa. Not a drama as I don't need the two simultaneously, just interesting.

Thanks Hobo, of course you're right and if I'd read your earlier post properly the penny would've dropped!! Blame it on old age and generally being an air-head!
Cheers.

Not a linux 'expert' either, but just a hunch: maybe the graphics bits taht compose some of the presentation are getting interchanged? Try Help> About for version number and true ID.

Unhappy Not mistaking FW for LW

I saw FW's splash then LW's splash and it opened with LW's logo.
I really want to run FW but still can't.
