![]() Just got back online since Katrina and now LW will not function same with FW. The screen comes up and as it loads the user interface, it automatically shuts off not allowing any use of the settings. I can't figure it out since it worked fine pre-Katrina....any ideas? BTW I removed all files including the registry files and reinstalled fresh. Last edited by tostito; December 6th, 2005 at 06:19 AM. |

![]() Are you trying to have both open at the same time? I wouldn't recommend doing that. Have one open at a time. It gave me problems anyway trying to have both open at same time. Or are you saying both have same problem ... won't load properly when opening. Perhaps you should reinstall your Java using the "Offline" Java installer. It might be an idea to 1st uninstall your present java using Add/remove control panel. Java 1.5 (take the JRE)

![]() I am only using FW at present. I did remove LW before using FW and even removed registry files before FW install. I removed java and reinstalled and it still closes after starting user interface. The interface never stays open long enough to give me a chance to do anything. My daughter's computer uses LW just fine she is wireless connection to my cable connection. |

![]() Try deleting FW's preferences folder: How to delete your FrostWire Preferences folder If that doesn't work, you could perhaps try the suggestion later in that thread about uninstalling FW & trying the 'Other' version. Another option is downgrading Java to 1.4.2 to see if it's Java that's the issue. http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/download.html (Choose the JRE)
