Download links Changelog: *Added intelligent spam filter to filter bad search results *New Theme *More Languages *Use larger download buffer to reduce disk load *Console tab for viewing FrostWire's internal logs *Various fixes *Small fixes to installer Comments/bugs welcomed ;) Happy holidays to all our users, -The FrostWire Team |
Many fewer results, but this could just be due to spam getting dropped out. Seems to suck up more CPU than the last version. OSX 10.4.3 1.67 pbook 1gig RAM EDIT: left it on all night and it was frozen and blank when I returned. Had to force quit it. |
The console alone is worth the download, but then I'm goofy that way I guess. Man, there are so many worthwhile improvements in this version... y'all are doing a great job, and its much appreciated. On the Win32 version (I tried the zip file this time and just overwrote the existing files) memory is much better returned to the system upon closing. The filter additions seem to work well also. Minor dislike: extra themes <ugh, bloat>. Minor sugestion: on the statistics page, an autoscale would be cool, since not everyone has high speed access, the lines are barely visible on a dial-up :) . Again, hats off and thanks. |
I'm sorry, but I only see problems: The spam filter don't works for the 134.4.kb spam. With Strict and Don't Display options after marking the spams, most cases after researching they are displayed again, with the spam icon and 100% . There is no filtering or only partly. I have about 400 files waiting for download. When FW starts, when I press Resume or Pause, the CPU load about 70%. In some cases jumps extra high - about 95% and remains in this state, I must restart FW. In the console window Clear works, but I cannot stop the debug lines with OFF and Apply. |
disable the console tab to reduce cpu load. |
i don't know how ! ??? |
If I hide the Console, the cpu load remains about 80%. |
Ditched the redundant themes by loading themes.jar in WinZip and deleting the ones I didn't want. Simple, effective. No other problems at all. |
I'm new to Frostwire and I'd like to find out about the difference (if any) between Frostwire's 'Excellent connection' and Limewire's 'Turbocharged connection'. Thanks, Mark |
The difference between the two is that LimeWire will - in that case - keep more ultrapeer connections, potentially offering more search results. |
