The image is quite small so it's not easy to see details but I'm presuming it's blurred right? Yes in actual fact, it still might be a graphic card issue. Try changing skins & see if you still have the same problem. Also, re-check that Sticky about graphic cards & 3D settings. Try setting your graph card back to default to see if it makes any difference. Hold on ... you said missing characters. Well check the above suggestions all the same. Which version of Java are you using? BTW I don't suppose you're saving your downlds onto an external HDD are you? Or your shared files being on an external drive? I have an issue with iTunes because my external drive I use for it is too slow (cache is low which makes it slow) & suffer reading issues. |

Sorry...Forgot to mention the image is clickable! Gets a bit bigger then I've tried a couple of different nVidia drivers to no avail. Can't say I'm experiencing any other issues in other programs. I'm using the latest version of Sun J2RE (1.5.0_06) and I'm saving files locally. |

Well, can you try the FrostWire theme? Maybe some glitch with the Windows theme... Ciao

I really dont want to jump to any conclusions, but try uninstalling Java 1.5.0_06 and install Java 1.5.0_05 here: http://jdl.sun.com/webapps/download/...BundleId=10279 I want to test out if Java update 06 is causing these problems. Thanks |

It definitely looks like a java bug, - I'm not certain how to work around it. A downgrade to Java 1.4 may do the trick as well as trying a theme with different fonts, although I don't know which theme would be the best to try. Anyway, looking into the LimeWire forums, you might find some more answers. |

Hmmm, he mentioned "leftovers" from previous installs of java. Many packages can be reinstalled over the top of an existing install, but not in the case of java: its best to make sure any present install is completely uninstalled before upgrading. These "leftovers" *may* be what are causing the mix-upedness. I'd try making sure all traces of java are gone (including the installer files in C:\Windows\Installer [r-klik on the .msi files and select Properties till you find the _05 installer and move or delete it] which is just wasted space at this point, then try the _06 upgrade. |
