Hi fluffy--and welcome

FrostWire, like LimeWire and all the other opensource filesharing apps, is a free tool that allows you to connect and share files (all kinds) with others like yourself.

So whatever people decide to share, whether it's good bad, ugly or even dangerous, is totally up to the user. Some of the stuff is even illegal, apparently. Still, if you use common sense, you'll quickly learn what to avoid, and you'll probably find some really good and interesting files.

In other words, FrostWire has no say in what you choose to download or share, how much you share, and how long you share it: that's totally up to you.

It's not like the iTunes store, or a subscription service, where you pay for what you download.

I have heard that some files ask for money, but I haven't run across any.

Have fun, play safe, and . . .

cheers.

Hi again

Not sure--see http://www.weedshare.com/ for ways in which some files can be listened to before you are asked to pay.

Enjoy.

You might want to try starting with the specialized files that are authorized for free and legal filesharing, like the ones on http://www.magnetmix.com/audio2.shtml (there's video too) before you try all the ones in the wild. That will give you a chance to get the feel of how the downloading and sharing proceeds.

Feel free to delete the files, and it might be a good idea (if you use Windows) to make sure your virus-checking software is working properly too.

Cheers again
