Default can connect to limewire but not frostwire.

having the same problems, limewire connects no worries but frostwire just will not connect. tell me it can't find internet connection but LW has no problems with it.
running mac OS 10.5 with wireless modem.
if you think that i'm going to remove my firewall then forget it.

Did you add FrostWire to your firewall exceptions? Try changing the connection or listening port FW is using in FW's options -> advanced -> Firewall settings.

suppose i'll just have to stick with limewire.

FrostWire would need a separate OSX firewall exception addition.
Due to the way routers work reserving ports for particular programs & users, the port should be different to that of LW which is why I suggested changing the listening port. Also try these options: If LW 4 Will Not Connect (click on the blue link), though apply these to your FW.

ok i've tried all the above and still no luck.
i concede defeat i into the trash it will go, i can't believe so many people have the same problem and it still exists. obviously you need a BA in computer engineering to be able to progress and as a computer novice to say the least i just don't have the patience.
my flat mate was a qualified apple systems guy and he couldn't help me either.

second most frustrating experience of my life !!

When i type an artist like eminem or michael jackson and the song it just shows a pin wheel loading thing and it dosn't do anything else..
