In Tools > Options > System Tray, see if "Minimize to Tray" is chosen and "Show System Tray Icon" is checked.

Yeah, I use the 4.10.9 version and it shows.

Geppetto February 23rd, 2006 05:42 PM

Do you have any other icons that normally are in the system tray that aren't showing?

david07 February 23rd, 2006 05:49 PM

no, all other icons are showing: msn messenger, windows update, Limewire, Safely Remove Hardware, everything is showing, just not the Frostwire, and i'm using Frostwire 4.10.9 Beta

Dare I suggest something so basic & simplistic as possible help, but try deleting your FrostWire prefs folder whilst FW is closed; How to delete your FrostWire Preferences folder Perhaps this will make the difference, perhaps not. If you have any important settings then make a note of them before deleting the prefs folder. It's just a thought, as sometimes FW can behave considerably differently on one system to another due to prefs, etc.

Also make sure you have Java 1.5. If not, then remove the previous versions & replace with Java 1.5 (take the JRE)
