dunno - not something I have come across before. maybe your ISP has started throttling p2p? |
I have called them when I downloaded via torrents...they said they were but not like this at all.I have no clue why this is so slow...every hosts I could get I get...but I get 1-4 kB/s |
Come on....please help |
Can you test with another ISP? Maybe by signing up for a free trial with another ISP, or taking your machine over to a friend's you can isolate this problem. |
I think it's the time of day you try! and this is another hard question, why can't you people ever find an easy one. :( :( :( |
You could do a test by downlding a magnet link from here to see what speeds you get http://www.magnetmix.com/video.shtml Since that is a site, you should be able to get very high speeds. If you get abysmal speeds, then I'd be suspicious of your ISP. Who is your ISP? They're shaping against bittorrents so ... there's a chance they might be anti-any type of p2p program, as soon as they detect either the high bandwidth use or they use a program to detect FW. |
