Frostwire 4.10.9 & Linux Fix

Using nano as root i opened the file, which was DOS format. This is what caused the problem. Instructions to correct the problem are given below.

DO THE FOLLOWING AS ROOT (OR SUDO) in a Terminal
=========================================

1) nano /usr/lib/frostwire/runFrost.sh

2) then save in nano CTRL+O

3) here you can hit ALT+D to change the format. Then hit enter to save the file.

Note:
make sure after hitting CTRL+O the filename it doesn't have [DOS Format] before it.

Frostwire should now work,

I wish the frostwire team would repack the DEB file, because everyone who downloads the latest frostwire (on linux) will have this issue.

indeed, this is HUGE, I spent 2 hours debugging this before finding this post and fixing the problem.

How to change dos format?

Yeah I seem to have a difficult time changing the file from dos format for the fix on the new version. Any help?

Also the forum here doesn't allow me to reply to topics or anything. I can make new ones but I can't reply to any, even ones I make. I would of posted this question in the fix page if I could have.

By the way, those of you with problems in Fedora Core 5, follow this page.

This will fix the java issues related to FrostWire.

friendly tip: please specify your operating system(windoze, linux, mac, etc.). it's easier to provide advice this way, as bugfixes and tweaks are different for each platform.
