Default FireWall

Hello I have FrostWire and when I set my options when you first install it and when it askes my firewall(my mcaffee firewall) for permission it doesnt pop up. Then when I started it the little world at the bottom shows a brick wall. And when I look at my mcaffee block and allow list frostwire isnt there. Can someone help me make the brick wall go away?

Set FW up to use a separate port than LW uses. Go to FW's menu bar, Tools>Options>Advanced>Firewalls & change the listening port. If necessary you may also need to add this whilst configuring particular firewalls. That clears the way for both FW & LW to be used simultaneously though it's wisest not to. If you had port forwarded for LW, then you'll need to do the same for FW but a different port to LW. Both can use the same port but not simultaneously or in the same computer session (this depends upon system.)

To play it safe you could choose a port between 49152 - 65535 such as 64049.

Hopefully this might work for you, it did for me
Don't Know if the mccfee firewall is the same, haven't checked it in a couple of years (might work using the same principles)
Good Luck

Sgt
