That means you're firewalled. Did you configure your software firewall to allow FrostWire? Also, did you enable UPnP on your modem/router? More info here: Connection problems? Check here first! (click on link)

We need some info.

Can you give us a total description of your set up:
1. OS version? (eg: Windows 98)
2. What firewalls you have?
3. How much ram?
4. Hard Disk space available?
5. Connection type? (eg: dialup, broadband, cable, etc.)
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers?
7. Where are you trying to connect from (home, school, work, etc.)?
8. What version of Java do you have? (Go to FW's menu Help>About FW...) Will show both FW & Java version.
9. Who is your isp provider (Internet Service Provider)?
10. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? If yes, please give details of set up.
11. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there?

Ouch! to no. 11 !!! No wonder you can't connect. From memory, westell don't utilise UPnP very well & are best port forwarded. But before we look at that. Delete your Norton configuration of Frostwire & re-do it. Try that & see if it helps. If not see below:

Port forwarding for Westell 6100 (click on link). Setting up should be the same as LimeWire. Probably the most important step here is making sure you set up a static ip correctly which is the very 1st step.

BTW if you still have LW on your system, then use a different port for frostwire in it's advanced firewall configuration, your norton setting & port forwarding. eg: choose a port between 49152 - 65535, such as 64049.

Did you ever call Verizon & ask why port 6346 is blocked? Did they say anything about limiting p2p use?

You prolly need to forward a port. I'm on Verizon with a Westell Versel link 327W. I used the instructions to Port Forward, and I haven't had any problems. AFAIK Verizon doesn't block P2P.

Which port did you port forward for FrostWire? Was it the same as LimeWire?

Is there any other computer using the same modem?

Double-check your port forwarding, specifically the static ip. This is where mistakes if any, are generally made. If it wasn't set properly, you'd need to delete the port forwarding setting & re-do it.
