| ok i'll try to be a little more cordial this time i just installed simply mepis 6.5 on my home built hand me down computer amd athlon xp 1.2 1 gig mem 80 gig hd i downloaded and installed froswire for debian/ubuntu from the frostwire site. i had frostwire and it worked great before and i get really frustrated when something works and someone has to go messing with it my philosophy is, if it works don't fix it. anyway, frostwire installed without a hitch but when it starts everything appears normal but it stays at starting connection. after reading quite a few posts i did a few things and still no luck. i dmz'ed my routers firewall and the guarddog firewall is set to accept gnutella networks. the only thing left is port configuration. but i couldn't find any numbers for that. hope thats enough info i'm sorry i was so short. i'm pretty much used to mepis forums where answers come in minutes. |
