My Frostwire shows that my connection to the network is "turbo-charged". I have opened the proper ports on my firewall, deleted the Frostwire themes file, only searched for four-star files, etc. However, I have this problem:
Despite my "turbo-charged" connection, I click on a search result with over 100 sources to download it, and the status perpetually remains as "connecting". I had the same problem with Limewire, and was told to switch to Frostwire. Once in a blue moon a download will randomly work, and it will be super-quick, but this is generally what happens. What is going on?

fake files...try searching this forum for 'fake files' and do some reading...

I have done some reading up on fake files. Is it accurate to believe that in the situation here, ALL of them are fake files?

Yep, they are probably all fakes. Have a look here, there's some interesting info about fakes (don't know if you found this in your search or not).

Vary your search terms, look for artist or album name rather than song title. Try the All Types search. Stay away from files with huge numbers of sources, go for a file with 10 sources or less. For video, always check the file with Bitzi before download

Anyway, do you think LW can control what's shared on the network?

Do some research. Use the forum search. Look for fake files, spam, keyword filter, how to find music.

Good luck suing LW. What are you going to say...I'm suing LimeWire because I can't download copyrighted files??
