new to frostwire and stuck! (transferring files to iTunes)

I have subscribed to Frostwire and have Itunes. I have downloaded some music in Frostwire and this now appears in my I-tunes folders under a heading - 'SHARED' - inside which is the folder I named, with striking originality, as 'ME's Frostwire'.
I can play the music in 'ME's Frostwire' fine but when I tried making up an Itunes playlist and transferring music to it they wouldn't drag and drop.
I've looked through a number of solutions but with no luck.
Some suggested going to the Preferences heading in Frostwire (but there isn't one, though their is an OPTIONS heading which I've explored.
The most promising moment came when I dragged a file from my Frostwire shared folder (in Frostwire itself) across to Itunes but then up came an error message saying blah blah and ending with "not a podcast URL" even though I hadn't gone any where near any podcast folders.

For the record the system is Windows XP with a cable link.

Any ideas?
