Default HELP! Can't Delete Mpeg.

I have Frost Wire 4.13.2. I have a SeaGate external hard drive which i use to store all my music, movies, etc. I have 2 Incomplete MPEGS which when I try to delete them, there is no option to delete. I cannot drag to recycling bin or anything. I downloaded a program earlier called Delinvfile which worked once, but now when i try to use it, the file says Unreadable or corrupt. I've tried everything. It does not show up on FrostWire in the Incomplete folder either.

hey there! i downloaded the lastest frostwire but no luck.

the problem is....In my INCOMPLETE folder in my EXTENAL HARDDRIVE, there site a MPEG which when I RIGHT CLICK, gives me only 5 choices (open with, send to, etc) which none will work in. It's like its nailed there and I can't move it.

I assume you have rebooted and then tried deleting it....

try reconfiguring your frostwire so the incompletes folder is located elsewhere...and of course I hope you haven't been trying to delete whilst FW is running....after reconfiguring FW to have a different saved folder location, shut it down just for giggles, then delete the whole old incomplete folder....

Aside from the possibility that the disk itself is at fault,
here's another utility that might help: Unlocker

If that still doesn't cut it grab the Seagate software on your install CD or get it from
their site and scan your disk for errors. Even if you did use normal disk repair
software, the Seagate stuff is still probably the only one that has direct access to
the hardware.

Yeah, temp folders always way too busy for an external drive anyway. Frostwire will
definitely work better on your fastest drive for incompletes and then it can move
completed files out to the external drive, defragmenting them both naturally, or at
least reducing fragmentation a lot. ;]

Default thanks but...

ive tried literally EVERYTHING, even the Unlocker, tons of programs. the Delinvfile worked on others, but this one file will not move! and it only started when i started saving the frostwire files to my seagate. i will try to find the seagate cd's, but have no idea where they are. The UNLOCKER program doesnt even show up when i right click the MPEG. there are only the 5 usual options, nothing more.

even if I delete Frostwire or change folders, that incomplete file still sits there.
