Frostwire doesn't connect (OS X 10.5) Hi, I am just starting to use Frostwire. I had Limewire and it worked for a couple of days and I was able to download some files. Then something happened and it said I was stuck behind a firewall. So now I am trying Frostwire and the same thing is happening. I am able to use xtorrent without any problems. But, I just can't figure out what to do with this problem. Any help will be greatly appreceiated. 1. OS version? OS X 10.5 2. What firewalls you have? I have "allow all incoming connections" for OS firewall and the firewall on the modem/router is set to Medium because I have Port Forwarding enabled 3. How much ram? 2gb 4. Hard Disk space available? 50gb 5. Connection type? verizon dsl 6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? Westell 7500 Modem/router combo 7. Where are you trying to connect from? second floor of a house/apartment 8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? FW 4.17.0 & Java 1.5.0_16 9. Who is your ISP (Internet Service Provider)? Verizon 10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? Here is what I get Network Timeout The server at www3.limewire.com is taking too long to respond. The requested site did not respond to a connection request and the browser has stopped waiting for a reply. * Could the server be experiencing high demand or a temporary outage? Try again later. * Are you unable to browse other sites? Check the computer's network connection. * Is your computer or network protected by a firewall or proxy? Incorrect settings can interfere with Web browsing. * Still having trouble? Consult your network administrator or Internet provider for assistance. 11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? It is a home network with 1 windows xp computer, 1 mac laptop and this computer. The laptop is wireless and not always in use. The 2 desktop computers are ethernet connected to the router/modem. I also use xtorrent on this mac and have downloaded things no problem. I was able to use limewire for about 2-3 days and then I started having the same problem I am having with frostwire ( except frostwire has never connected). 12.
