Do you know which firewall Rogers is giving you? The only info that I can find suggests that it's NPF: Telus, Shaw, and Rogers provide free virus and Internet protection |

In that case, the link at the bottom of this post has further links to configuring Norton's firewall Also try removing all FW rules & then reconfiguring.

Before you set up port forwarding, did you set up a static IP address for your computer? You'll need to
The instructions are here: PortForward.com - Free Help Setting up Your Router or Firewall

And when you set up port forwarding, did you use these instructions (refers to LimeWire but that's fine because everything's the same & FW isn't in the list of programs yet): Port Forwarding for the Linksys WRT300N

FW's listening port, port in the 'manual port forward' box & port forwarded within your router must all be the same number.

There are other different fixes to try in this thread: If LW 4 Will Not Connect

Don't worry that it refers to LW - things are the same for FW. Where you see 'LW' or 'LimeWire' just substitute FW or FrostWire

Confused

I have definitely determined it has something to do with my Rogers Firewall app. When this firewall is turned off, I'm able to connect again. I've since tried setting up a forwarded port with PFPortChecker confirmed is open and still no go. I've manually added an exception to the Rogers Firewall app for the opened port as well. Any suggestions???

btw... I've updated FW to 4.18

apparently your ISP has been known to throttle p2p traffic...taking this into account I wouldn't be in any way surprised if buried within your firewall (supplied by them) is a block against known p2p programs...one which you cannot disable...

I suggest going with a commercial firewall such as Kaspersky's
