Default playing in itunes

help, just started using frostwire, i downloaded a song which i managed to get to play in itunes by highlighting the song and clicking explore, then a box opened with the song highlighted i double clicked this and itunes opened and played the song, (easy i thought). i tried again with another two downloads, everything went smooth up to the part where i double clicked the highlighted tune, itunes opened the same but no song played or appeared in the itunes library. i tried dragging the song same again nothing, nor can i find them saved anywhere on my PC. if anyone understands what i have written and can help you have a friend for life.

1. How to transfer music to my iPod (& iTunes) {click on link}

2. iTunes can only import mp3, mp4 audio (m4a/mp4), apple lossless, aiff & wav files. iTunes cannot import wma, real, ogg vorbis, flac or monkey, or mp3pro files.

3. Might be fake music files. Check Virus thread: Typical virus spam file sizes - Make a note of them (click on blue link to see).

If the songs did not show much id3 tag information or a bitrate, then most likely fake. Also might be deliberately corrupt spammed files also; mp3 Bit-Rates Versus File Sizes (click on link)

When you initially start a download, the file goes to the incomplete folder. When it is 100% finished downloading, FrostWire moves it to the download folder.

When iTunes imports a song, if you have it set to copy to its own library, then iTunes will copy the song across to its music folders.

Recognising junk files is something you learn bit by bit with experience. Learn to recognise the file sizes of spam. Learn to see that fake files generally do not have much mp3 id3 tag information. No easy answer unfortunately.
