Frostwire Start-Up Issue

I recently uninstalled Limewire and installed Frostwire. However, when I start up my computer Frostwire starts up automatically. I don't want this. I want Google to be my start up page. How do I stop Frostwire from starting up automatically ?

Take a look at the "Options" box, under the "Tools" menu item, this is the answer you are looking for.

Can you be more specific with regards to what I'm supposed to do ? It doesn't matter whether I check or uncheck the 'Connect On Start-Up' box because Frostwire still appears on my monitor either way. In fact, if I choose to uncheck the box, Fostwire then simply remains Disconnected. Why anybody would want this to happen is beyond me.

You don't state what OS you use, but if Windows at least then try and install CCleaner and look at the startup entries it finds. You can then disable/delete useless stuff.

NOTE: Some startup entries are necessary for your computer behaving properly. So use common sense what disabling or deleting entries. I would recommend rather disabling entries instead of deleting them, unless you are quite sure they won't make your system FUBAR.

Download CCleaner 3.02.1343 - FileHippo.com

You can find the startup entry manager under the tools tab in CCleaner.

There is an option in FW's menu bar, Tools -> Options > System Tray, to shut down immediately & not minimise to the Tray. Not sure if this is the issue.
I don't have my FW set to start at system startup, no issues connecting.
I use File_Girl's version of FW. Her version does not auto-update & I click no to updates. AFAIK the only so-called improvements they've been making are in reference to their silly Android system, no actual program improvements.

Both Sleepless and LOTR's advice should be tried first but it seems to me that your FW installation is not working the way it should be.

As a final solution, I think you should uninstall FW (using CCleaner) and then reinstall using File_Girl's version.
