Not to complain, but where's the music Where did all the LimeWire people and all their MP3s go? LimeWire was MP3 heaven with tons of singles and full albums. Frostwire searches produce next to nothing, except the Limewire settlement files, trash files, and files with no bitrate. Limewire was fast, Frostwire crawls. I'm highly disappointed. I think I have gotten maybe 10 good mp3 files since Limewire closed down. Anybody else experiencing this. Jill in California |

I do understand you are not happy with FrostWire...Why not give LimeWire Pirate Edition a chance??? There is still many LimeWire users out there, and LimeWire is still working court order or not!!! You will find it here in this forum section: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/gettin...e-edition.html

Gnutella is still working just like before. You may try what file_girl mentioned. LimeWire Pirate Edition |

If you choose to install the LPE version, it's best you do a clean install. Delete the old LW preferences folder, uninstall LW if still installed, & then reinstall LW LPE. Run it once, then close. Then replace the new Downloads.dat file with one you backed up. LPE seems to run better with clean installs. References to deleting the LW preferences folder & saving the Downloads.dat file: Windows and MacOSX. On Windows, if you have system settings set to hide file extensions, then the downloads.dat file will simply be called downloads. To re-add your shared files back to LW, click the My Files tab-button top left of LW's screen, then simply drag & drop the files or folders you wish to share onto the Public Shared icon. |
